Sermon Scribe
Terms of Service
Last updated 24 August 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Claybird Labs, which operates Sermon Scribe. By creating an account you accept them. Questions go to support@sermon-scribe.com.
What Sermon Scribe is
Sermon Scribe helps you draft sermons and study material using AI. It produces a starting point for your own preparation — not finished work, and not a substitute for your study, judgement, or pastoral responsibility.
Your account
You need an account to use the service. Keep your password to yourself and tell us promptly if you think someone else has access. You are responsible for what happens under your account. One account is for one person; if your church needs several people to have access, each of them needs their own.
Who owns what you generate
You own the sermons you generate. Preach them, publish them, adapt them, sell them — they are yours, and we claim no rights over them.
We ask two things in return. Check the work before you use it: AI-generated text can misquote scripture, misattribute a quotation, or state something confidently and be wrong, so verify every scripture reference and every factual claim against a source you trust. And do not use Sermon Scribe to produce material that is hateful, harassing, deceptive, or unlawful.
Plans and billing
The Free plan costs nothing. Paid plans — Pro and Ministry — are priced monthly in Canadian dollars and paid by Interac e-Transfer. Nothing renews automatically and we hold no payment method on file: each transfer buys the month that follows it, and access continues only for as long as you keep sending them.
- There is nothing to cancel and nothing to unsubscribe from. Access runs to the end of the period you have paid for; to stop, simply send no further transfer.
- We do not automatically refund partial months. If something has genuinely gone wrong, write to us — we would rather sort it out than argue about it.
- If a transfer does not arrive, or your bank reverses one, we may pause access to paid features until it is settled.
- If we change our prices, existing subscribers get at least 30 days’ notice by email before the new price applies to them.
Availability
We aim to keep Sermon Scribe running and available, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. It depends on providers we do not control, and it may be unavailable during maintenance or an outage. Do not leave your sermon preparation to the last hour of Saturday night and rely on us being up.
Ending the agreement
You may close your account at any time by emailing support@sermon-scribe.com from the address on your account; we delete it within 30 days. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, that is used to abuse the service, or that is used for the prohibited purposes described above. If we close your account without cause, we will refund the unused portion of what you have paid.
Liability
Sermon Scribe is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, and the courts of Ontario have jurisdiction over any dispute.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top will change, and for anything significant we will email account holders before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the updated terms.
